Record the dates and status separately
Request production details, registration status, any disclosed prior use and the current distance reading. A recent advertisement does not establish recent production, and a low odometer reading does not explain the entire vehicle history. Keep the supplier’s new-stock description connected to supporting records.
The condition-route guide provides the wider buying context. Earlier and later Seltos versions can be discussed, but new availability of an older version requires an actual verified offer. Do not describe every historical configuration as current new stock because it appears in a general model guide.
Ask about the storage period
Request the known storage timeline and any relevant preparation records. Ask whether the car moved between facilities or received work after the first inspection. A vehicle can accumulate a different delivery condition while standing, so a checklist completed for an earlier proposed sale needs a clear date and scope.
Have a qualified provider determine the appropriate inspection and any required attention for the identified vehicle. Do not apply an arbitrary universal battery-replacement age or tyre rule to every stock car. The useful evidence is the actual condition assessment, applicable guidance and completed work record.
Inspect visible condition before release
Ask for a dated exterior and interior record of the selected vehicle, including any disclosed transport damage or repair. Stock photographs help identify a model but cannot establish the condition of this car. Keep the release photographs distinct from earlier catalogue or yard images.
If preparation includes paintwork or accessory fitting, obtain the scope and completion evidence. A new-stock description should not conceal agreed repair work. The dealer needs an accurate account of the delivered condition to explain the car to its customer and to compare the arrival record with the release record.
Check the actual equipment
Use the equipment verification guide to list mandatory functions and demonstrate them on the selected car. A newer model announcement may show equipment that belongs to another version. Match the installed system and original designation before accepting an apparent upgrade as part of the purchase.
The CarPlay connection checklist makes a required phone function specific enough to demonstrate. Include the customer’s language, phone-connection and everyday comfort requirements where relevant. Keep untested online functions separate from demonstrated local operation. If a feature depends on regional services or an accessory, record that dependency rather than allowing a general PDI tick to imply it will work in every destination.
Define the pre-delivery inspection output
Ask who performed the PDI, when it occurred and which vehicle it covers. Request the checklist, findings, agreed corrections and release conclusion. A blank form or a statement that inspection is available does not establish completed checks. The accepted record should distinguish satisfactory items from follow-up actions.
Where a finding requires a specialist, let the appropriate provider specify the work and verification. If the vehicle then remains in storage or receives further changes, ask which checks need refreshing before release. The final result should describe the car being handed over, not a previous state of the same vehicle.
Reconcile accessories and transfer evidence
The export preparation record should name keys, supplied cables, adapters, manuals and agreed loose items. Check the physical set against the quotation and final photographs. A pictured accessory is not necessarily included, particularly when it belongs to a demonstrator’s temporary setup.
Agree the condition-recording responsibility at each relevant handover point. Keep the accepted vehicle identity and any open item attached to the transfer documents. This does not replace destination or transport checks by the responsible parties, but it makes the vehicle’s agreed release condition much easier to establish.
Send a complete new-stock enquiry
Tell Panda the destination, quantity, accepted production range and mandatory equipment. State whether registration status or a particular PDI outcome is a purchase condition. If used alternatives are also acceptable, request them as separately described candidates rather than mixing different condition routes in one ambiguous price.
Before acceptance, reconcile the final offer, work record and delivered items. Any substitute should receive its own review even if it shares the same trim name. A complete new-stock file explains identity, condition and outstanding responsibilities; it does not rely solely on the word new to answer those questions.
